Born and brought up in Delhi, Naresh Kaushik started his journalistic career on March 1, 1978 as a trainee journalist in The Times of India. Later he joined the hindi weekly Dinman under the leadership of Raghuvir Sahay. After working with TOI for three and a half years Naresh Kaushik went to London where he joined the BBC on 4th July 1981.
